Cardiovascular Technologist (OR CVOR Tech) in Vail, Colorado for a travel assignment starting 08/03/2026. 13-week engagement with guaranteed 32 hours per week on the Day shift in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $1,670 to $1,747. This role requires active surgical technologist credentials and perioperative experience under RN supervision.

Responsibilities
- Assist during surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile field, providing instrumentation as needed, and applying aseptic technique; work within the perioperative team following AORN standards.
- Maintain and verify instrument packaging, processing, moisture, seal, packaging integrity, sterilization indicators, and expiration dates to support a safe operating room environment.
- Monitor the sterile field for events that may contaminate or compromise the surgical area and initiate corrective action under supervision; participate in Time Out processes, briefings, and debriefings.
- Develop competency in Tier 1 surgical cases; contribute to ongoing, individualized patient care within the scope of practice; stay current with instrumentation and equipment.
- Support team functions including patient transports, room turnover, and room preparation; uphold professional behavior and HIPAA compliance.
Requirements
- License: Licensed as a Surgical Technologist in the state of Colorado is required.
- Education/Experience: Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist; prior perioperative experience preferred.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Computer/Typing: Ability to acquire necessary computer skills within 90 days to complete online learning, access forms, and enroll in benefits.
- Language: Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Physical/Work environment: Ability to perform the duties of a surgical technologist in a fast-paced perioperative setting; HIPAA-compliant and able to work as part of a team.
