Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, and determine diagnoses and care issues.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care; promote health and a safe environment.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members.
- Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team; communicate effectively with the treatment team.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (state of practice)
- Certification: BLS required; ACLS required; NRP required; CPR/CPR-BLS as applicable per policy
- Education: BSN preferred; current nursing license per state of assignment
- Experience: At least two years of recent acute care experience
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and in a night-shift assignment
