Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse – PCU, Atlanta, GA. Travel assignment starting 10/05/2026 for 14 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,717–$1,780 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Night 12-hour shifts, 3 consecutive nights. Setting: a hospital with a 28-bed PCU/IMCU unit serving a cardiac population. Assignment includes telemetry and higher-acuity care within the PCU/IMCU, with potential placement in telemetry beds in the same unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult patients in the PCU/IMCU with cardiac diagnoses, including STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and C/P.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry, recognize changes, and intervene per physician orders.
- Administer prescribed medications and cardiac drips (e.g., Milrinone, Dobutamine, vasopressors) as directed.
- Perform ongoing assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to coordinate care, including transitions to telemetry beds with lower acuity when appropriate.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to unit protocols during 12-hour night shifts.
Requirements
- PCU/IMCU clinical experience: minimum 2 years in a similar-sized facility
- Certification: BLS and ACLS required
- Setting experience: cardiac population care with telemetry and higher-acuity monitoring
- Shift availability: able to work night shifts (12-hour blocks) on a 12x3 schedule
- Ability to load patient demographics and badge information as part of the assignment process (per assignment requirements)
Education
