Responsibilities
- Provide coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, monitor responses, and document progress.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; ensure safety, accuracy, and ongoing evaluation of patient responses.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, participate in discharge planning, and provide patient and family education.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality metrics through adherence to policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in California or eligibility to obtain CA licensure.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Med Surg nursing experience preferred; travel nursing experience may be beneficial.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts; 36 hours per week; ability to participate in a travel assignment.
- Willingness to work in Lodi, California within a hospital-based Med Surg unit.
- Commitment to a 13-week travel assignment.
