Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status; administer medications and treatments per protocols
- Triage patients, prioritize care, and manage acutely ill patients; coordinate with the ED interdisciplinary team
- Assist with procedures, perform basic ED procedures, and operate/maintain essential ED equipment; document care in the EMR (EPIC)
- Float to related units as needed and participate in patient discharge planning and education for patients and families
- Care for a broad patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics; respond promptly to rapid changes in patient condition

Requirements
- Licensure: Current New York RN license; active licensure with NURSYS verification required
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC must be in hand
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience; travel experience required; pediatrics experience preferred
- Education: Graduation from an approved nursing program; ability to practice in an ED setting
- Other: RTO (Reasonable Take Off) request must be included at time of submission; EPIC EMR experience; ability to float as needed
