Travel Radiology Tech Multimodality Technologist Job
Radiology Technologist – Multimodality, travel assignment in Sonora, California. Start date 08/31/2026 for a 13-week assignment in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Weekly pay range is $2,196–$2,381, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is a 12-hour day schedule (7:00 AM–7:00 PM), typically 3 shifts per week. This multimodality role requires operating x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment, with competent performance in at least three modalities. Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic, mammographic, CT and/or ultrasound examinations across multiple modalities, with proficiency in at least three modalities
- Safely prepare and administer contrast agents as required; monitor patient response and safety
- Position patients, transport and transfer between gurneys and wheelchairs; ensure proper immobilization and comfort
- Operate imaging equipment, optimize image quality, and perform mobile imaging as needed
- Maintain equipment readiness, test defibrillator and crash cart, and uphold radiation safety standards and infection control practices
- Document procedures, label images accurately, and communicate results or concerns to radiologists and referring clinicians
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology required; Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: Current state Radiologic Technologist license; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required; ARRT-R (Radiography) required; current certification in at least one advanced modality (CT, MRI, NM, S, or equivalent) and the ability to perform duties in at least three modalities (e.g., CT, Mammography, MRI, NM, Sonography, PET) required
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor required
- Experience: At least two years of recent field experience required; three years' technical experience preferred
- Special qualifications: Ability to work in a hospital imaging department and comply with modality-specific credentialing; active ARRT certification in radiography and in at least one additional modality as listed
