Your responsibilities as an LPN in Long-Term Care include daily resident assessments, monitoring vital signs, medication administration under state guidelines, wound care, catheter care, turning and positioning to prevent pressure injuries, documenting changes, and collaborating with RNs and interdisciplinary teams to update care plans. You’ll have opportunities to deepen geriatric nursing competencies, including dementia care strategies, fall prevention programs, pain management, and palliative comfort measures.
