Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for ER patients, including initial assessment, triage, ongoing monitoring, fluids and medication administration, and discharge planning as appropriate
- Perform assessments, document findings, and update care plans using Epic EMR; communicate changes to the health care team
- Administer prescribed treatments, monitor patient responses, manage IV therapies, and perform basic procedures within scope of practice
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients, coordinate care, and escalate deteriorating conditions per protocols
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to regulatory standards and hospital policies
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Oregon (or eligibility per state requirements)
- BLS certification
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER nursing experience
- Ability to work a night shift schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and adapt to unit needs
