Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for individuals undergoing interventional cardiology procedures in the Cath Lab, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing duties.
- Monitor patient status, vitals, and hemodynamics throughout procedures; administer medications and manage sedation per protocol.
- Maintain sterile technique, assist the interventional cardiology team, adapt to dynamic Cath Lab environments, and operate lab equipment as directed.
- Document patient data, procedures, and outcomes in the Cerner EMR with accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and support staff to ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal care outcomes.
- Respond to emergent events, apply ACLS/BLS protocols, and participate in emergency response activities as needed.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or related specialty
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Cerner EMR experience
- Ability to work 10-hour day shifts in a Cath Lab environment and participate in a travel assignment
