Responsibilities
- Perform, assist, and complete Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations and interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce digital images and cinefluorography during procedures to aid physician guidance.
- Position and prepare patients, provide explanations, and assist physicians with specialized interventional studies.
- Enter protocol-driven technical factors (radiation dose, filming sequence) into the imaging system; adjust equipment per physician instruction.
- Administer contrast media as directed, monitor patient response, and operate fluoroscopy and image capture equipment during catheter-based procedures.
- Monitor patient status during imaging, communicate changes to the physician, and provide post-procedure discharge instructions as appropriate.
- Maintain patient safety, sterile technique, and adherence to department protocols throughout interventional procedures.

Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in radiologic technology or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: ARRT certification preferred; RT in state of practice required; current CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the radiology field; cath lab or special procedures experience preferred; 1–2 years cath lab experience required
- Additional: Current nursing license per the state of assignment; ability to work in a fast-paced interventional lab environment; on-call schedule (approximately 6–7 days per month, including weekends)
