Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adults with oncology diagnoses on a medical-surgical/telemetry unit
- Monitor patients on telemetry (CMU) and respond to changes in condition; participate in rapid response and code teams as needed
- Administer medications and treatments per clinical protocols; manage IV therapy and peripheral line care
- Implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols; ensure safe patient handling and infection control
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Transport, Unit Secretary, Interpretation Services) to coordinate care
- Document accurately in the Epic charting system and maintain clear, concise handoffs for oncoming shifts

Requirements
- Active RN license; pending licenses not accepted
- Certifications: BLS required; OCN preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; oncology experience required; first-time travelers accepted; 3rd-year Med Surg experience preferred; previous charge experience preferred
- Unit/setting: Ability to work on a 26-bed oncology-focused medical-surgical/telemetry unit; float within pod
- Shift suitability: Able to work 3x12-hour night shifts; weekend coverage as required (4 per month or every other weekend)
- Education: Nursing degree from an approved program (implied by RN licensure)
- Charting: Epic experience required
- Pre-start requirements: Completion of pre-start training modules (~16 hours) and 24 hours of orientation prior to start
