Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (L&D) – Utica, NY. Travel assignment in a hospital setting beginning 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Night shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. Weekly pay ranges from $2,283 to $2,473 per week. This assignment requires a strong background in obstetric care, active clinical skills in a high-acuity L&D unit, and the ability to collaborate with obstetric teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients across antepartum, intrapartum, post-partum, GYN, and newborn care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, assist during labor and delivery, and support cesarean delivery teams as needed.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, perform nursing assessments, document in the Epic/Stork system, and communicate clearly with physicians, midwives, and support staff.
- Support triage, admissions, and postpartum recovery, while upholding infection control and safety protocols.
- Assist with neonatal stabilization and post-delivery newborn care; participate in patient and family education.
- Float as needed to MB, pediatrics, or other adult floors within scope of practice; collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure quality patient care.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
- Broad obstetric scope: antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum; GYN; newborns
- Epic/Stork experience required
- Ability to support a unit with RN-to-patient ratios of 1:1 to 2:1
- Night shift availability and flexibility to work within a 36-hour guaranteed week
