Licensed Practical Nurse, Long-Term Care — Mount Olive, North Carolina. This travel assignment starts May 18, 2026 for a 16-week period in a corrections setting. Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocol.
- Monitor patient status including vital signs and general condition; respond to changes with timely escalation.
- Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, and safety measures for residents.
- Perform wound care, injections, and IV therapy as licensed; monitor IV lines and fluid balance as needed.
- Document care in electronic health records; ensure accurate, timely charting and HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with an interprofessional team; communicate with supervising clinicians and report concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in North Carolina (in good standing).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Prior nursing experience in long-term care; corrections setting preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma).
- Ability to work three 12-hour shifts and participate in a travel assignment; ability to pass background check and drug screen.
