Responsibilities
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce quality diagnostic images, including CT and conventional radiography
- Perform routine and emergency diagnostic procedures (e.g., surgery imaging, general radiography, portable radiography) according to established standards
- Maintain patient safety and radiation safety practices; ensure proper shielding and imaging protocols
- Position patients and equipment, select appropriate imaging techniques, and evaluate image quality for radiologist interpretation
- Complete accurate documentation and assist with related clerical and patient care duties as needed
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other health care staff to support efficient patient care
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology
- Certifications: ARRT certified in CT; BLS through American Heart Association
- Licensure/Registration: Registered with the State Bureau of Radiologic Health in the State of Iowa
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Radiologic Technologist
- Skills: Strong patient care and customer service; ability to work in a hospital radiology department; excellent teamwork and communication
