Responsibilities
- Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs; document findings and plan care
- Formulate and revise a care plan, including discharge planning, in collaboration with patient, family and health team
- Implement plan of care per physician orders and nursing plan, coordinating activities of the health care team
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to care and teaching; adjust plan as needed
- Document assessment, interventions, and patient outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record; communicate status to other caregivers

Requirements
- Active RN license in Arizona or a compact/interstate license valid for current practice
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS certification within 90 days of start date if pediatrics services are involved
- Education: Associate degree or diploma in nursing, or higher
- Experience: Minimum one year of licensed RN experience in the OR; for new OR graduates, enrollment in the PeriOperative 101 program with successful completion within 4 months
- Ability to work in an OR environment and meet established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- If applicable to PRN assignments: minimum two years of OR RN experience preferred

Physical Demands/Environment (typical)
- Direct patient care in a fast-paced setting; ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach
- Correctable hearing/vision and color vision as necessary; ability to use fine motor skills and manual dexterity
- Able to lift and move patients or equipment per safety guidelines (up to practical limits); use proper body mechanics
- Standard precautions applicable to bloodborne and body fluid exposure; good communication in person and by phone
