Adventist Health Hanford
Mid Level
Step into the front lines of emergency care as a Registered Nurse specializing in the ER, and bring your signature blend of speed, empathy, and clinical precision to patients at their most vulnerable moments. This travel nursing opportunity places you in Hanford, California, beginning on 04/13/2026 for a several-week assignment designed to challenge your skills and expand your professional reach. If you’re ready to affect lives daily while building a resilient, versatile career, this assignment could be your next milestone. You’ll join a dedicated team that appreciates the unique energy of a fast-paced ER and respects the importance of teamwork, communication, and compassionate patient interactions. And beyond the unit, you’ll experience California’s vibrant landscapes, from sunlit mornings along the Kings River to weekend escapes to the Sierra foothills and state parks—reminders that your work here supports communities with access to quality care in a dynamic environment.

Hanford sits in the heart of California’s Central Valley, offering a friendly, small-town feel with easy access to bigger cities, cultural events, and outdoor adventures. When you’re not on shift, you’ll have opportunities to explore farmer markets, local festivals, and a food scene that highlights fresh, seasonal produce. The region’s climate means more sunny days to recharge after demanding shifts, while proximity to national forests and parks provides weekend escapes that replenish your energy and renewal. The assignment may also provide options or expansions to work in other locations across the United States, letting you sample diverse patient populations, healthcare settings, and regional practices while expanding your professional network.

As an ER RN, you’ll lead initial patient assessments, escalate care for critically ill or injured patients, perform rapid bedside assessments, establish airway management and IV access, administer medications, monitor hemodynamics, and coordinate with physicians, techs, and case managers to ensure timely interventions and safe discharges. You’ll document meticulously, participate in rapid-response teams when needed, and mentor newer staff or rotate through related departments to broaden your scope. The role offers clear pathways for growth in emergency medicine, critical care frontlines, or leadership tracks that benefit from your hands-on experience in high-stakes environments. Compensation reflects your expertise, with a weekly pay range of $1,857–$1,980, and you should note that guaranteed hours are 0.0, meaning scheduling flexibility will be managed in collaboration with the travel program. We also highlight competitive benefits including a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and potential extension opportunities should you wish to remain beyond the initial assignment. In addition, you’ll have access to comprehensive support from a dedicated travel team 24/7, ensuring you’re never without help—from credentialing and housing logistics to on-site troubleshooting and clinical support.

Our company is rooted in the belief that empowered nurses provide better care and stronger teams. We’re committed to supporting your career trajectory, providing ongoing education resources, hands-on mentorship, and clear pathways to advanced ER practice or specialty certifications. The culture emphasizes a supportive, inclusive environment where you’re encouraged to share ideas, advocate for your patients, and grow in alignment with personal and professional goals. You won’t just fill a role; you’ll join a community that values your expertise, your voice, and your ambition—and we’ll stand with you as you expand your impact across settings and shifts.

Ready to take the next step? Apply now to join a team that respects your craftsmanship, rewards your dedication, and partners with you to advance your career while delivering essential care to communities in California and beyond. Your ER experience, commitment to excellence, and patient-centered approach will find a home here, where every shift reinforces why you chose nursing in the first place. Note: The hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
