Radiology Tech – Diagnostic Radiologic Tech | Hermiston, Oregon | Start 06/29/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,451 to $2,569 per week | Guaranteed hours 36 | Shift: 3x12-hour days | Travel assignment in a critical access hospital setting. The Interventional Radiology/Cardiology Radiologic Technologist supports diagnostic and interventional procedures through expert operation of fluoroscopic imaging equipment, sterile technique, and coordinated procedural flow. This role collaborates with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient, high-quality patient care. Advanced technical competence in procedural imaging, radiation safety, sterile field maintenance, and hemodynamic monitoring is expected, with adherence to departmental protocols and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
- Operate fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging systems during diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring optimal image quality while following ALARA and radiation safety policies; post-process images and send to PACS.
- When assigned, function as the scrub technologist, maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, devices, and trays, and anticipating physician needs during interventional and catheter-based procedures.
- Serve as the primary monitor technologist as needed, recording hemodynamic data, pressures, and procedural events; document doses, contrast usage, implants, and medications accurately; communicate real-time findings to the team.
- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, monitoring during procedures, and post-procedure turnover; verify allergies, NPO status, and relevant lab values; support sedation under nursing and physician direction.
- Manage contrast allergy considerations and collaborate on agent selection; participate in timeouts and ensure allergy-related documentation is complete.
- Support department operations by restocking supplies, tracking expirations, performing routine equipment checks, and ensuring imaging and lead protection equipment is ready prior to cases.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program; Preferred: BS Radiologic Science/Medical Imaging.
- Licenses/certifications: Current Oregon State licensure issued by OBMI; ARRT certification (RT(R)); current BLS and ACLS certification (or within 6 months of hire); specialty certifications (e.g., RCIS) preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year of Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab experience managing fluoroscopy and scrubbing interventional cases; 3+ years preferred for broader IR/Lab responsibilities.
- Skills/abilities: Proficiency with fixed fluoroscopy equipment, angiography tools, sterile technique, and procedural documentation; strong patient communication and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based setting; Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Eligibility: Ability to work in a surgical/interventional radiology environment with appropriate supervision and in the listed location.
