Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients per established standards
- Monitor patient status, perform assessments, administer medications, and manage IV therapies
- Operate telemetry monitoring as required and document findings in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement and revise care plans; participate in discharge planning
- Support unit operations in expanded roles as needed (e.g., charge nurse, precepting peers) and participate in committees as assigned
- Adhere to rotating shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays; respond to on-call or callback requirements as needed
Requirements
- NY RN license, active
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating D/E/N schedule and meet unit needs
- Willingness to participate in on-call, callback, and holiday coverage
