Responsibilities
- Provide basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients as ordered by the physician and per department policies
- Administer and monitor respiratory therapies and related interventions; manage airway support as delegated
- Complete paperwork, electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges for each patient
- Work effectively with minimal supervision and supervise others as delegated; collaborate with the health care team to adjust therapy as needed
- Maintain equipment and ensure patient safety during therapy sessions; document changes and outcomes clearly
Requirements
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and support adult and geriatric patient populations
- Demonstrated capacity to perform respiratory therapies as ordered, with documentation in electronic medical records
- Comfort working with or without direct supervision as delegated and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and adhere to shift schedules and assignment duration
