Registered Nurse – Rehab | Inpatient rehabilitation services | Petoskey, Michigan, US
Start date: 08/24/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | Shift: 3x12 Nights (7:30 PM–7:30 AM) | Setting: hospital-based inpatient rehab unit
This is a travel - temporary assignment. Weekly pay: $1,746 to $1,892. Guaranteed hours: none. This assignment requires a Michigan RN license and BLS, with a minimum of two years acute rehab experience. You will report to the shift Team Leader and work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based rehab care for medically complex patients across the adult lifespan.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, following individualized plans of care based on physiological and psychosocial assessments
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status; identify changes in condition and escalate as needed; implement interventions under physician orders
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate an evidence-based plan of care; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care conferences
- Use SBAR and other structured communication tools to ensure clear handoffs and continuity of care; document thoroughly in the electronic health record
- Support discharge planning by evaluating discharge needs, coordinating with therapy and social work, and providing patient and family education on activity progression, safety, and self-management
- Adhere to unit-specific policies, infection prevention practices, and safety standards; demonstrate clinical judgment in prioritizing tasks during high-acuity situations
Requirements
- Licensure: active Michigan Registered Nurse license
- Certifications: BLS (AHA)
- Experience: minimum 2 years acute rehab experience (required)
- Education: nursing degree (ASN or BSN) eligible for licensure in Michigan
- Ability to work a night shift in an inpatient rehab setting and participate in every other weekend schedule
- Demonstrated clinical judgment and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
