Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients in an acute care setting.
- Manage pharmacologic treatment, monitor safety, and adjust medications as appropriate within scope of practice.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Document assessments, plans, and progress in the electronic medical record; ensure compliance with regulatory and facility policies.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed, with clear communication to the care team and patient/family education.
Requirements
- Active license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.
- Board certification in psychiatry or credentialing appropriate for PMHNP practice, or eligibility.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary acute psychiatric environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; proficient in medical documentation and patient safety.
- Eligible to work in the United States and able to meet facility credentialing requirements.
