Responsibilities
- Provide registered nursing care across ICU, Step-Down/Progressive Care, Med-Surg, Day Stay, PACU, and ER, maintaining competency in each unit.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and manage indwelling catheters and drains; operate and troubleshoot standard medical equipment.
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms; respond to life-threatening events and adjust care accordingly.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team; supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel within scope of practice.
- Manage post-procedure care and involve the patient and family in care planning; document accurately per policy.
- Demonstrate adherence to agency policies and chain of command; participate in ongoing professional development and unit competency maintenance.

Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the state of practice (California) required.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; these must be from approved vendors per policy (Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
- TNCC: Required or enrolled in an upcoming TNCC class.
- Epic experience: Must have current Epic experience.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent RN bedside experience in ICU, Step-Down/Progressive Care, or ER within the last 5 years.
- Additional: Completion of Critical Care Course or equivalent experience preferred; ability to work across listed units and adapt to variable patient acuity.
