Travel Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist Job
Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) needed for a 13-week travel assignment in Everett, WA. Start date May 4, 2026. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. Weekly pay range: $1,743–$1,840. Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks. Weekend coverage required. This role is housed in a hospital-level II trauma center setting with ER, IR, OP, and IP services across two campuses. The traveler will float between like units as needed.

- Pre-approved time off: up to one period
- Holidays: must commit to 3 of 5 major holidays
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care for adult ICU and emergency department patients, including mechanical ventilation management with weaning and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
- Assist with airway management: intubation assistance and extubation; monitor airway devices and patient status
- Interpret arterial blood gases and adjust therapy based on clinical data
- Deliver non-invasive ventilation: HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP; manage airway therapies such as aerosols, nebulizers, and MDI administration
- Provide pediatric/neonatal respiratory support as needed; participate in ED and critical care procedures
- Document patient care in EPIC and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team; participate in rounds and discharge planning
Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist license (RRT)
- ACLS and BLS certifications (NRP preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
- Ability to float between like units within the hospital (and to a sister hospital if needed)
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, NYD)
- Pre-approved time off: up to one shift
- Background disclosure: must disclose any Nursys hits at submission
