Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) in Atlanta, GA, United States. Starting 06/15/2026 for an 8-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay ranges from $1,598 to $1,678. Shift is night, 12-hour blocks in a 2x3 rotation. Assignment is on a high-acuity trauma surgery floor within a hospital setting; EPIC charting is required. No time off requests (NO RTO) during the assignment. This travel temporary position requires active licensure, BLS, and demonstrated Med Surg/trauma experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients on a high-acuity trauma med-surg unit
- Monitor patient status, perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications (including IV therapies), and manage lines, drains, and tubes
- Respond rapidly to clinical changes and emergencies; implement trauma protocols; coordinate with the trauma/surgical team
- Document care in EPIC, ensure accurate handoffs, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff to support care planning, safety, and discharge readiness
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care within the unit’s protocol
Requirements
- GA RN license active and current; Nursys verification required
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Trauma or high-acuity floor experience
- High school graduate or equivalent; graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and to thrive in a high-acuity trauma setting
- Willingness to work given shifts; no block scheduling changes; no RTO
