Responsibilities
- Perform specialized examinations in cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular studies, and electrophysiology studies as directed.
- Serve as a lead worker and resource to medical and clinical staff to promote efficient use of personnel and equipment.
- Collaborate with the intra-procedure team to ensure safe patient care and adherence to Universal Protocol.
- Prepare patients and rooms for routine procedures, including patient identification, draping, and equipment readiness.
- Maintain and calibrate cath lab equipment; conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and arrange repairs as needed.
- Read physician orders and protocols, communicate with physicians on procedural details when necessary, and select equipment per regulatory and protocol standards to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Contribute to process improvement and patient satisfaction through ongoing assessment and recommendations.
- Stay current with developments in cardiovascular technology by continuing education, journals, and professional involvement, integrating new knowledge into practice.

Requirements
- Active Texas Medical Radiologic License
- ARRT or RCIS certification (active)
- American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications (active)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Special Procedures or Cath/EP labs (required)
- Ability to work in a hospital environment on a travel assignment
- Travel experience preferred but not required
