Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics on a 48-bed Med Surg unit, including common diagnoses such as sepsis, COPD, respiratory failure, post-op care, AMS, and complex medical cases.
- Perform assessments, monitor and interpret vital signs, and respond to changes in patient condition; administer medications and IV therapies; initiate and monitor IV access, including PICC care as needed.
- Maintain non-invasive airway support as required (high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP) and manage wound care, wound VAC, and post-operative care.
- Collect and interpret ABGs, manage isolation precautions, and participate in catheter care, feeding tube care, and CBI as appropriate.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV/Pharmacy/Radiology/Respiratory/PT/Social Services/Phlebotomy) and participate in rapid response and code events as needed.
- Document care in Epic with accuracy and timeliness; participate in care planning and discharge planning.

Requirements
- Active Idaho RN license
- BLS certification; ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience: 2 years preferred; 1 year accepted
- Trauma II experience preferred
- Travel experience preferred
- Ability to work a night shift and flexible weekend/holiday coverage
- 100-mile radius rule: Traveler must live at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify
- Unit-specific competencies and ability to work on a Med Surg unit with adult and geriatric patients
