Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside care and continuous assessment of ED patients, escalating concerns per policy
- Administer medications, monitor IV therapy, and assist with emergency procedures
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary ED team to prioritize patient flow and ensure safety
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Respond to acute changes in patient condition and support code/rapid response events as needed
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license with NURSYS verification showing all licenses within the last week
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department acute care nursing experience
- EPIC EMR experience preferred; ability to adapt to ED documentation standards
- Ability to work 12-hour evening shifts; rotating weekends and holidays; RTO must be included at submission
- Must provide two recent Manager/Supervisor references and a skills checklist matching ED specialty; driver’s license with address that matches demographics
