Responsibilities
- Perform rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of emergency patients.
- Administer medications, start treatments, and assist with procedures per physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and ancillary teams to coordinate patient care and disposition.
- Document patient status accurately in the EMR and communicate clearly with patients and families.
- Maintain infection control, patient safety, and regulatory compliance; respond to code or trauma activation as needed.
Requirements
- Valid and current New York RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Medicine nursing experience
- Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts per week in a hospital ER
- EMR experience with Meditech Expanse preferred
