Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR), Travel assignment in the Geneva, NY area. Start date: 04/27/2026 for 16 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,931-$1,976 per week. Shift: 4x9s (0630–1530 or 0730–1630) with weekend/holiday on-call and flex shift. Facility type: Short Term Acute Care Hospital; position requires floating between two affiliated sites in the Geneva area and adherence to perioperative best practices with adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients. ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required.

Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients undergoing procedures in the OR, including monitoring and supporting recovery phases.
- Assess patient needs, develop and modify an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; document progress and outcomes.
- Administer medications and assist anesthesia providers; maintain sterile technique and enforce infection prevention protocols; ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative period.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and circulating nurses to coordinate care, anticipate needs, and flow efficiently through procedures.
- Educate patients and families about perioperative processes, expected recovery, and discharge planning; provide teach-back to ensure understanding.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, uphold professional practice standards, and document education and care interventions accurately.
Requirements
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- OR/perioperative nursing experience preferred
- Ability to float between two affiliated sites in the Geneva area
- Willingness to work a 4x9 schedule with weekend/holiday on-call requirements
