Registered Nurse – PCU travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. Start date: 06/01/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range: 1,757–1,806 USD per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 2x3 Nights. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult patients on PCU/IMCU floors with cardiac conditions, including STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain syndromes, and related diagnoses; maintain telemetry monitoring.
- Float to ALL PCU/IMCU floors with cardiac-population care as needed, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4.
- Administer and adjust IV cardiac medications and drips per orders (e.g., Milrinone, Dobutamine) and manage vasopressors as directed; monitor responses and adjust plans accordingly.
- Monitor hemodynamic status and cardiac rhythms; respond to changes in patient condition, perform ongoing assessments, and escalate to the medical team as required.
- Utilize EPIC EMR for orders, documentation, and communication with the care team; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning.
- Provide patient and family education on care plans, medications, and discharge processes; ensure safety protocols and infection control standards are followed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a facility of similar size and acuity (high-risk cardiology settings)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Ability to float to PCU/IMCU floors with cardiac population; maintain 1:3–4 patient ratios
- Minimal time off (RTO) requested; flexible night-shift schedule for travel assignment
