Responsibilities
- Conduct OT-related assessments and deliver therapy under supervision of a licensed OT.
- Plan, implement, and modify therapeutic activities to improve fine motor skills, activities of daily living, cognitive function, and functional independence.
- Document progress, update treatment plans, and communicate with the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team.
- Provide individual and small-group sessions in a correctional setting while adhering to safety protocols and facility policies.
- Assist with adaptive equipment, splints, and assistive devices as appropriate; monitor treatment safety and infection control.
Requirements
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
- Ability to work in a corrections setting
- Availability to start 06/01/2026 for a 13-week assignment
- Commitment to 35 hours per week and the 08:00–16:30 shift
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
