Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in a short-term acute care setting.
- Assess patients, monitor progress, and respond to changes in condition; administer medications and treatments per orders.
- Coordinate care as assigned by the unit leadership, collaborate with physicians and the care team, and communicate with patients and families.
- Prioritize patient needs, manage workflow, and ensure safe, accurate documentation in the medical record.
- Support care transitions, discharge planning, and patient education to promote understanding and safety after discharge.
- Uphold infection prevention standards and maintain a safe, healing environment for patients and families.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York.
- Demonstrated clinical competency in acute care or a closely related setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and adapt to a travel assignment with variable hours.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to work across assigned units as needed.
