Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for ED and medical-surgical patients, including assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, and monitoring
- Triage and manage new ED arrivals; collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary teams to implement appropriate care plans
- Respond to emergencies, perform procedures within the scope of practice, and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Document care in the electronic health record; coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
- Facilitate patient and family education, discharge planning, and follow-up instructions
- Float to other departments as needed, while maintaining quality of care and adhering to policy and infection control standards
Requirements
- Licensure: Active Montana RN license (or ability to obtain); current state licensure required
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience: Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical coverage experience preferred
- Education: Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program
- Submission materials: JHP Cover Sheet, Work History, Skills Checklist, Professional State License, Current BLS Certification, and two professional references
- Availability: Ability to work a nights schedule and to float to other departments as needed
