Take the next step in your Physical Therapy career as a Travel Physical Therapist in North Carolina and Washington, where every patient interaction is a chance to restore independence and improve quality of life. This opportunity places you at the forefront of rehab, collaborating with physicians, therapists, and care teams to tailor evidence-based plans that empower patients to reclaim mobility, reduce pain, and regain confidence. Your clinical expertise travels with you across settings—from hospitals to outpatient clinics to rehab centers—while you explore thriving communities and the natural beauty of these states. Picture yourself savoring the Blue Ridge vistas and coastal breezes of North Carolina, the lush temperate rainforests, and majestic peaks of Washington, all while making a meaningful impact. It’s a journey that blends clinical excellence with personal growth, beginning on 04/06/2026 for a multi-week assignment with 40 hours guaranteed each week.
Location benefits go beyond clinical variety. North Carolina offers warm hospitality, diverse care environments, and opportunities to serve urban centers and rural communities alike. Washington presents state-of-the-art facilities within vibrant cities and serene, scenic locales, from coastal towns to mountain towns, with abundant outdoor recreation and a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration. For caregivers who crave flexibility, there’s the chance to work in multiple locations across the U.S., expanding your professional network and exposing you to varied care models, payer landscapes, and patient populations. You’ll experience the rhythms of different regions—from seasonal festivals and college-town energy to waterfront sunsets and mountain adventures—while maintaining continuity of care and advancing your clinical toolkit. This program is designed to support you as you broaden your horizons, both professionally and personally, during a defined weeks-long engagement.
Role specifics and benefits define a rewarding path for growth and impact. As a Physical Therapist in this travel program, you’ll assess patient needs, design and implement rehab plans, and guide interventions across orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary domains as applicable. You’ll lead therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, balance work, and functional mobility activities, while educating patients and families on home exercise programs to sustain progress. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, document outcomes in electronic medical records, and pursue ongoing skill development through available continuing education resources and optional specialty certifications. The compensation reflects our commitment to you, with weekly pay ranging from $2,519 to $2,528, plus a retention bonus possibility, housing assistance, and opportunities to extend the contract for additional weeks or new sites based on performance and facility needs. You’ll operate with a strong support network: 24/7 travel assistance, a dedicated recruiter, and on-call operational support to handle logistics so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care. A guaranteed 40-hour week, along with a defined start date (04/06/2026) and a duration expressed in weeks, ensures stability and predictable income as you gain experience across locations. The role also offers access to mentorship, professional development resources, and pathways to broaden your scope in musculoskeletal, neurorehabilitation, or other areas of interest.
