Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or group of patients in the ICU per established standards and the nursing process.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, assess patient status, and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, and document care in the patient’s medical record.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and collaboration with the care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team, and participate in care planning and handoffs.
Requirements
- Ability to provide ICU-level nursing care in a high-acuity setting
- Availability to work night shifts (12-hour nights)
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment
- Competence in nursing assessment, documentation, and clinical decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to work within a hospital environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
