Responsibilities
- Provide unit-level leadership under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Nursing, supervising nursing staff in the absence of Unit Directors.
- Coordinate age-appropriate patient care activities in accordance with facility standards, policies, and procedures.
- Manage nursing operations to support efficient delivery of care across the nursing services.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and values in daily practice.
- Demonstrate clinical proficiency in age-appropriate patient care using the nursing process.
- Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills, with effective conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Function independently and respond rapidly and effectively in emergency situations.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in the State of Maine or authorization to practice pending licensure by endorsement.
- BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire.
- BSN preferred or willing to obtain BSN.
- Minimum 4 years of acute care experience.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage care during night-shift operations.

Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred; or current RN pursuing BSN.
