Travel Registered Nurse House Supervisor Job
Registered Nurse - House Supervisor Newark, NY. This travel assignment supports off-shift coverage (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) in a 180-bed skilled nursing and rehab campus with five units. Start date 04/21/2026 for several weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,349–$2,460 per week. Shifts include 4x9-hour night-time blocks with rotating windows: 11:00 pm–7:00 am; 3:00 pm–11:00 pm; 7:00 pm–7:00 am. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. The role emphasizes clinical leadership and supervision across units to ensure quality resident care.

Responsibilities
- Provide on-site supervision and leadership for clinical staff across multiple units; mentor and coach staff as a charge/resource person
- Manage de-escalation of confrontational situations, ensure resident safety, and oversee code management and emergency preparedness
- Oversee infection control practices, isolation procedures, and regulatory compliance (DPH, TJC, OSHA); support sentinel event reporting
- Oversee clinical procedures such as IV starts/maintenance, PICC care/management, wound care and wound vacs, tube feeds, and management of indwelling catheters and colostomies
- Coordinate staffing, productivity standards, float coverage, hiring/orientation, and performance coaching; collaborate with interdisciplinary team
- Ensure accurate and timely EPIC documentation; uphold charting and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Current NY RN license in good standing; license in hand to submit
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years RN experience; prior charge/lead nursing experience required
- Ability to supervise clinical staff across multiple units and float as needed
- EPIC charting experience required
- Must be able to work rotating evenings/nights/weekends/holidays
- Facility requires familiarity with common geriatric and rehab populations and related equipment (e.g., wound care, IV therapy)
