Responsibilities
- Provide registered nurse care in the cath lab during invasive cardiac procedures and post-procedure recovery
- Monitor telemetry and hemodynamic status, assist with electrophysiology and structural heart interventions as directed
- Prepare and assist with vascular access, device deployment support, and equipment setup; maintain sterile technique
- Administer medications and moderate sedation per physician orders; monitor for sedation-related complications
- Collaborate with physicians, CVTs, and nursing staff to ensure patient safety, accurate documentation, and smooth workflow
- Respond to emergencies; assist with peri-procedural care, hold area management, and post-procedure discharge planning as appropriate
Requirements
- Active NY Registered Nurse license
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
- Moderate Sedation trained
- Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience; familiarity with right- and left-heart hemodynamics and common cardiac interventions
- Experience relevant to the following: TAVR, Microclip, Watchman; CTO/PCI; Pericardiocentesis; Vascular interventions; RotoPro; LVADs; AngioVac; FlowTriever
- Mechanical circulatory support experience required: ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, LVAD
- Structural Heart exposure preferred: TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO/ASD/VSD, Valvuloplasty
- Critical care or cardiac specialty experience is required
- EP Lab experience or device/ablation knowledge is a plus
