Travel Registered Nurse Interventional Therapy Job
Registered Nurse – Interventional Therapy in a hospital setting, located in Columbia, Missouri, United States. Start date: 09/21/2026. Travel assignment lasting 13 weeks with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift is rotating with M-F days plus rotating call, including holidays. This role focuses on interventional radiology and CT procedures, requiring strong patient assessment and the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments and monitor for complications during interventional radiology and CT procedures; recognize and respond to changes in patient status
- Prepare, explain, and obtain patient and family consent for procedures; communicate clearly with radiologists, physicians, and team members to coordinate care
- Provide procedural sedation for invasive procedures under the supervision of the radiology team; maintain patient safety and comfort, understanding limits of sedation and device monitoring
- Manage line access and vascular devices (IV insertion, PICC/central line management, cannulation) and assist with vascular access care during procedures
- Maintain accuracy and safety of equipment and documentation; ensure radiation safety measures are followed and support the team with CT and IR workflow
- Circulate and assist during procedures, monitor vital signs and patient response, and participate in post-procedure care and discharge planning as appropriate
- Uphold a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for procedural sedation and collaborate with radiologists and nurses across departments to address evolving patient needs, including emergency responses
Requirements
- Neuro experience: 2+ years of Neuro experience preferred
- Experience in interventional radiology and CT procedures; ability to participate in a rotating call schedule including holidays
- Line management skills: IV insertion, PICC/central line management, and vascular device access/care
- Cardiac skills: Telemetry interpretation and defibrillation/cardiac device monitoring are required or strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity interventional radiology/CT environment and adapt to rotating shifts and on-call requirements
- Demonstrated clinical judgment for critical decisions and collaboration with radiology team and multidisciplinary staff
