Responsibilities
- Deliver emergency nursing care to adults and pediatrics in a high-volume ER, including triage and initial assessment.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and therapies per orders, start and manage IVs, and operate monitoring equipment.
- Respond to rapid changes, including trauma activations and cardiac events, while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record; provide thorough handoffs at shift change.
- Support patient flow in a fast-paced environment, prepare patients for imaging or procedures, and assist with discharge planning and family education.

Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license by start date
- ER nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work nights (3x12-hour shifts) and align with orientation schedule
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced 28-bed ER with trauma bays and cardiac monitor rooms
- Must be able to travel to Hilo, Hawaii for a temporary assignment and complete orientation requirements
