CT Tech in Radiology | Carbondale, Illinois, United States | Start 03/30/2026 | 13-week travel assignment | $2,318-$2,419 per week | Guaranteed 36 hours per week | Evening shift, Monday–Friday 2:30 PM–11:00 PM with on-call up to 10 days per month and every other weekend; hospital-based travel assignment.

Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures following department protocols and Radiologist orders; adjust technical factors for optimal image quality.
- Operate CT scanner, position patients, monitor safety, and manage IV contrast administration per protocol with appropriate safety checks.
- Use PACS to process, label, and archive CT images; verify imaging protocol with Radiologist and document results in the EMR.
- Verify patient identification, obtain informed consent where required, explain procedures, and provide patient comfort and instruction during scanning.
- Maintain IV/contrast competency; monitor for adverse reactions; prepare contrast media and ensure proper documentation of administration.
- Assist with department efficiency through clerical support as needed; participate in safety and quality initiatives; EPIC Safe Trace experience is a plus.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent certification
- Licenses and Certifications: ARRT Certification in Radiology; IEMA licensure; CPR certification
- Experience: 1 year CT experience preferred
- Knowledge: Ability to work in a hospital setting; comfort with contrast administration; EPIC workflow familiarity is a plus
- Skills: PACS proficiency; strong patient communication; attention to detail and safety compliance
