Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Lamar, Colorado. Start date: 04/20/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,545–$2,767 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week. Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am). This travel temporary assignment is for a hospital/critical access care setting that serves obstetric patients and newborns.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring patients, support delivery, postpartum, and newborn care within the scope of practice
- Perform assessments, monitor labor progress, prepare for C-sections and inductions, and document nursing care accurately
- Administer IV medications, deliver care during labor and postpartum, and educate patients and families
- Prepare and maintain the delivery/triage area, provide emotional support, and coordinate transfers as needed
- Adhere to infection control principles and department policies; maintain sterile technique and safe equipment use
- Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth patient flow
Requirements
- Current Colorado RN license
- CPR certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRC) and ACLS within one year of employment
- 4 years of obstetrics care experience preferred
- Ability to work nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am), stand for long periods, and perform heavy lifting as required
- Knowledge of labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care essentials; strong communication skills; ability to work under stress
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals and teams
