Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, formulate a care plan, implement interventions, and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes.
- Collaborate with the patient, family, and multidisciplinary team; supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across different levels.
- Provide education to patients and families; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Delegate appropriately, coordinate duties of the healthcare team, and maintain a safe, healing environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC) and ensure timely communication with the care team.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent discretion in nursing care delivery.
- Adhere to institutional vaccination requirements and safety policies, including E-Verify participation where applicable.

Requirements
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California)
- Certifications: CPR/BLS required; Basic Life Support required per policy; ACLS and PALS (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) required
- Experience: Minimum of two years of recent ER/acute care nursing experience
- Education: BSN preferred
- Technical: Must have EPIC electronic health record experience
- Other: Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment; eligible for assignment in a travel capacity; vaccinations as mandated
