Weekly pay: $2,192–$2,357 per week. Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for one 12-hour shift every 2 weeks). This assignment sits in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit offering couplet care (LDRP) with a focus on supporting vaginal and cesarean deliveries, newborn care, and comprehensive maternal-neonatal education.

Responsibilities
- Provide Labor & Delivery nursing care for laboring patients and support both vaginal and cesarean deliveries; deliver couplet care
- Perform newborn assessment, thermoregulation support, and neonatal resuscitation basics as needed
- Monitor fetal status using external and internal monitoring; interpret fetal heart rate patterns and respond to abnormalities
- Manage postpartum hemorrhage and administer medications such as magnesium sulfate and oxytocin/Pitocin
- Initiate IV access, operate infusion pumps, administer blood products, and assist with epidural/anesthesia procedures
- Conduct discharge teaching and breastfeeding support; partner with families to plan postnatal care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary)
- May float within scope to meet facility needs and to affiliate hospital units
- Working weekend shifts required; on-call not required; pre-approved time off policy applies
- Must be willing to work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)

Requirements
- Active RN license in Alaska (or applicable state) at time of submission; pending state licenses are not accepted
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; first-time travelers accepted; travel experience not required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
- Demonstrated competency in vaginal and cesarean delivery support, fetal monitoring, newborn care, and postpartum management
- Ability to work in a Labor & Delivery unit and to float within scope as needed; weekend availability required
- Completion of pre-start compliance modules (approximately 16 hours) prior to start
