X-Ray Technologist – Radiology travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date 05/18/2026 for a 13-week contract in an hospital setting. Weekly pay range is $2,387–$2,599 per week. Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review physician orders before imaging.
- Operate x-ray equipment to obtain radiographic images per orders; position patients and assist with transfers as needed.
- Explain procedures to patients and respond to questions; ensure patient comfort and safety throughout exam.
- Maintain radiation safety practices to minimize dose; uphold ALARA principles and proper shielding.
- Ensure accurate patient data and image labeling; transmit images to PACS and verify correct entry in electronic systems.
- Monitor equipment condition and promptly report any malfunctions or safety concerns to management.
Requirements
- NYS license (or ability to obtain license prior to starting).
- ARRT Certification.
- Completion of formal radiologic technology program (approved School of Radiologic Technology).
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- 2 years X-ray Technologist experience, including OR/trauma center exposure.
- Recent C-arm/O-arm experience (within the last 8 months) and ability to work in a trauma/operating room environment.
