Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to radiographic procedures
- Operate x-ray equipment to obtain radiographs per physicians’ written orders
- Explain procedures to patients and address questions; assist with positioning
- Move and position patients, including limited-mobility patients, using safe patient-handling techniques
- Operate radiologic equipment safely, aiming to minimize dose while producing diagnostic-quality images
- Verify patient information in electronic systems, adhere to dual patient identifier procedures, and ensure correct image labeling and PACS transfer
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by the Radiologist; monitor imaging quality and report equipment issues promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation and notify management of damaged or malfunctioning equipment
- Demonstrate professional communication and collaboration with the care team; maintain patient comfort and privacy

Requirements
- NYS license (or eligible to obtain prior to starting) and ARRT certification
- Graduation from an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Minimum 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience; Level 1 trauma center experience; OR trauma center experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Recent experience with C-arm/O-arm (within the past 8 months)
- Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods
- Ability to report within 30 minutes to on-call shifts
