Registered Nurse - Med Surg in Bangor, ME for a travel assignment starting 08/31/2026. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical patients under the supervision of the Unit Director, and in accordance with the Maine Board of Nursing and unit policies.
- Assess patients, monitor status, and administer medications and therapies per orders; maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.
- Manage telemetry patients when applicable, respond to changes in patient condition, and perform routine nursing procedures.
- Educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and support continuity of care across shifts.
Requirements
- Active Maine RN license
- BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of hire
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- MOAB or CPI certifications preferred, but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based hospital setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task
