Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC (Night Shift)
Location: Columbia, MO
Weekly Pay: $1,800 / week
Shift: Night Shift (Flexible travel contract)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) to join our dedicated team in Columbia, MO. This night-shift role centers on providing specialized ongoing care for medically complex adults. You will work within a hospital-affiliated LTAC unit to closely monitor patient trends, manage complex clinical needs, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and support safe discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Assessment: Assess and monitor vital signs, lab results, telemetry, and response to therapies for high-acuity, medically complex patients.
Clinical Interventions: Administer medications, manage IV therapy/infusions, and perform advanced wound care, dressing changes, and ostomy care.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, case managers, and families to update care plans and execute smooth discharge strategies.
Documentation & Safety: Accurately track patient status in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), promptly escalating changes in clinical status per protocol.
Patient & Family Education: Guide patients and their support systems on care plans, medication management, and post-discharge expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Licensure:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Missouri (or active Compact/NLC license).
Certifications:
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and specialized LTAC or Critical Care certifications (CCRN, PCCN).
Experience & Skills:
Required: Previous inpatient RN experience in acute or post-acute settings handling medically complex patients.
Required: Demonstrated proficiency in IV therapy, wound care, telemetry monitoring, and EHR documentation.
Preferred: Direct experience with ventilated patients, tracheostomy care, and complex care coordination.
Flexibility: Strong adaptability to travel contracts and dedicated night-shift coverage.

Setting: Hospital-affiliated LTAC unit operating in a steady, high-acuity environment.
