Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER) travel assignment in Olathe, Kansas, US. Start date 07/19/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range: $1,995 to $2,096. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital ER handling high-acuity patients in a busy urban-suburban region.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to ED patients, including triage, initial assessment, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; respond to emergencies and escalating as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for patient disposition, transfers, and management of inpatient boarders
- Monitor patient status, interpret diagnostics, and recognize changes requiring rapid intervention
- Document care in the electronic health record with accurate and timely charting
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge planning; ensure safety and adherence to evidence-based protocols
Requirements
- Active RN license in Kansas or Multi-State licensure
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and Conscious Sedation Competency
- Minimum 1 year ED experience within the last 12 months; 2 years ED experience preferred
- TNCC certification preferred
- Ability to work in a high-acuity ED environment; comfortable managing inpatient boarders and rapidly changing conditions
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure
- Shift availability includes nights; up to 3 weekend nights per pay period
