Registered Nurse – Oncology travel assignment in Marysville, California. Start date 08/10/2026 for an 8-week assignment. 36 hours per week on a 3x12-hour night shift. Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for a group of patients during night shifts, applying the nursing process to develop and implement plans of care aligned with the medical plan of care and input from patients and families.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status; administer medications and treatments per orders and policy; respond to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to coordinate delivery of care across age groups as assigned by unit, including adult and geriatric populations.
- Incorporate patient and family education and discharge planning into the overall plan of care.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to other licensed or unlicensed staff based on current clinical competence and scope of practice, while maintaining patient safety.
- Ensure care delivery aligns with unit standards and regulatory requirements; participate in continuous quality improvement activities as applicable.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts on an inpatient, hospital-based unit
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and relocate for the duration of the contract
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to clinical guidelines and safety protocols
